Bill Pay, P2P & A2A Upgrades Coming October 26
A better way to pay and transfer money is coming soon.
On October 26, COPFCU is upgrading the payment tools available through Online Banking and the Mobile App. The new, all-in-one system will make it easier to pay bills, send money to friends and family, and transfer funds between your accounts at other financial institutions.
What’s Getting Better?
Improved Bill Pay
Quickly add or update payees and access a more robust network of electronic payees.
Easier Account-to-Account Transfers (A2A)
Set up and transfer money to and from your accounts at other U.S. banks and credit unions electronically, with no paperwork required.
Improved Peer-to-Peer Payments (P2P)
Send money to friends and family using the recipient’s mobile number or email address. Recipients can receive funds the next day or choose immediate delivery for a $1 fee.
Important Upgrade Dates
Last Day to Use Current Systems
This is the last day bill payments and PayAnyone payments will be made through the current system.
Systems Unavailable During Upgrade
Bill Pay and PayAnyone will be unavailable while we complete the upgrade.
Your payees and recurring payments will transition to the upgraded systems.
Bill payments already scheduled for October 22–25 will be held and transmitted on October 26.
Account-to-Account (A2A) transfers will remain available during this time.
Upgraded Systems Available
The upgraded Bill Pay, P2P and A2A services will be available in Online Banking and the Mobile App.
Scheduled bill payments held during the upgrade will also be transmitted on this date.
All new A2A setups must be completed in Online Banking or the Mobile App.
What You’ll Need to Do Beginning October 26
Review Your Bill Pay Information
Your payees and recurring payments will transfer to the new system, along with 12 months of Bill Pay history. Please review your payees to make sure everything transferred correctly. Any payees requiring updates will be flagged for your review and must be updated before a payment can be processed.
Re-Enroll in eBills
Existing eBill enrollments cannot be transferred, so you’ll need to re-enroll in any eBills you wish to continue receiving.
Re-Enter Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Payment Details
Existing PayAnyone configurations cannot be transferred to the upgraded system. Please re-enter any P2P payment details as needed on or after October 26.
Account-to-Account (A2A) Transfers No Action Needed Yet
Your existing A2A configurations will remain in place on the current platform. We’ll contact you in early 2027 with instructions for transitioning them to the upgraded system.
Important eBill Update
The eBill system will undergo a separate upgrade later in 2026. Following that upgrade, you’ll need to re-enroll in your eBills again.
We understand the additional step is inconvenient, and we’ll contact you with details before the upgrade so you can maintain uninterrupted access to your eBill service.
A Few More Things to Know
Payments in the new system are scheduled based on the delivery date.
Electronic payments are withdrawn 1 day prior to the delivery date. If funds aren’t available, you’ll receive an email notification and will need to reschedule the payment.
Check payments are withdrawn when the payee deposits or cashes the check, rather than when the payment is scheduled.
If a payment is scheduled to fall on a holiday or weekend, the payment will process the day before the holiday/weekend. This is a change from the current system.
The daily processing cutoff is 4:00 p.m. ET for payments scheduled to process that day.
Twelve months of Bill Pay history will be transferred to the upgraded Bill Pay system. PayAnyone (P2P) history will not be transferred.
