What do I need to sign up for Bill Pay?

You must have a COPFCU Checking Account to use Bill Pay. You can open a checking account now, if you don’t already have one.

How long does it take for a payment to be received by the biller in Online Bill Pay?

At the time you schedule a payment, you will be notified of the expected delivery date which depends on how the payment will be sent. Most payments will be sent electronically, while a few will be sent as a paper check. Electronic payments are typically received within 1-3 business days. Mailed checks are typically received within 7 – 10 business days.

If a payment is due on the 15th of the month, when should I schedule the payment?

First, make sure you know the payment method used in Bill Pay – electronic payment or check. Best practice is to have the funds delivered to the biller at least 2 days in advance of the due date. This would be by the 13^th of the month.

Electronic Payments – Electronic payments should be scheduled/sent on the 10^th or 11^th of the month.

Check Payments – Because check payments can take from 7 – 10 business days, check payments should be scheduled/sent no later than the 3^rd of the month.
