Student-Run credit unions are a smart move.
Cardinals Credit Union & Knights Credit Union
In 2013, COPFCU opened two student-operated credit unions within the Northwest Local School District:
- Knights Credit Union (KCU) at Northwest High School
- Cardinals Credit Union (CCU) at Colerain High School
KCU and CCU are open in the cafeteria during lunch hours and are run by over 40 student tellers. The goal of the student credit unions is to provide real-life financial lessons by enabling students to open and manage their own credit union accounts, and to give students a convenient way to start and grow savings accounts.
